The study of the “Ginkgo Tree” apartment is part of a more complex project located in Hangzhou (China). The goal is to design the apartment's interior by dividing the spaces, but also by defining the suspended ceilings, floors, lighting and furnishing. The indoor layout is based on a central path that divides the spaces into north and south and that enhances the functions of the rooms and the living area, overlooking the tower's main view, that is the river and the lot’s interior. The apartment is designed with a minimal division of the spaces, where the pale walls are in contrast with the wooden flooring.
