THE STAIRCASE

Stairs have always fascinated architects and designers of every age, whether they are made of wood, steel or glass, cantilevered or not. This architectural element plays a fundamental role in the design of multi-level spaces, not only as an indispensable functional element of vertical connection between the floors, but also for the ability to improve, sometimes even distort the appearance of the environments. There are buildings of which the stairs are the fulcrum of a multipurpose space or where a central staircase is the heart of the renovation of a building; there are also houses in which the scale is given such importance, to define all the spaces and literally model the rooms. Of course, each design choice presupposes motivations linked to the style of the house and its structure, but also brings practical and aesthetic consequences to the interior decoration and vision of the home. From these conditions the need arose to design a line of stairs that could be used in the different conditions of the Architectural spaces, both for private and public surfaces.
